Holding Strong at Work

Starting my fourth week of work- cannot believe it is already been almost a month.

Starting out with determination has helped me!

Not one morsel of food bought in the cafeteria or from a vending machine. No drinks have been consumed aside from water and coffee (organic, home brewed!).

Every single day started with a half-hour to 45 minutes of activity (dog walking and a little yoga, usually... Though today Chris took Koda out so I did a cardio/strength workout!).

Also taking 15 minute walks at work 2-3 times a day.

My lunch today:

Sweet potatoes, roasted onions, roast chicken, roasted beets, homemade carrot-cabbage slaw!

So my weight has remained stable (between 123-124... It would be lower if I stopped having a couple beers on the weekend, but oh, I love beer!) and I feel strong and fit!

Stay strong at the office, friends... It's doable and worth it :)

It's hard... The prep is hard, waking up early to workout is hard, denying treats at work is hard. But it's good. I feel good!

Till next time <3

  1. Glad you are enjoying your new job and no, I cannot believe it has been almost a whole month. Wow, time flies. You are such a role model and inspiration. Taking the time to prep and pack your lunch is AWESOME! I need to really work hard to do this. Your lunch looks good too, except for the beets. Beets are in my top five food that I plan to never eat again. But hey, I don't like cats either. That's just the type of person I am and it just leaves more love for dogs. Have a great week.

  2. Have your beers - enjoy them. It's all about living too and if you are eating this way during your working week you've nothing to worry about. Well done - I bet you see a lot of others eating badly!

  3. So glad you are only taking your own food. I'm 100% sure I would have diabetes right now if I continued to eat the food set out and served at work.
