Have I posted this before? Oh well, if I have, it bears a repeat :D
We keep a jar of coconut oil right next to the olive oil. We try to use it as often as we can (sometimes a meal or certain flavors wouldn't work with the coconut flavor!). Chris will even just eat a spoonful of it sometimes.
Just a little life update since this is my blog! Weighed in at 119.8 this morning. Deeeelighted! I have to remember this week and how clean, paleo and right on track I was. Ate till satisfied, never more than I needed. Tons of water, no bloating here :D
I went to the salon and got my hair dyed by a professional for the first time - I loved it, even though it did take wayyyyy too long. I know they did all the right things to keep my hair healthy and make it pretty :) I might be hooked!! I just love the color, it looks more natural than it has in 15 years (started going gray when I was 16 - crazy I know, so I've been box dyeing my hair for a long time).

Chris said I look like Jillian Michaels here - a super huge compliment in my world!! |
Things I'm looking forward to today: continuing to eat clean and paleo, my daily dog walk, a mani/pedi with a good friend, and Chris coming home and STAYING home for over a week!!!!
Namaste :)
I messed up my hair once with a box dye and NEVER AGAIN. This is how I justify getting my hair done every 8 weeks: your hair is an accessory you where EVERYDAY. We're willing to spend $100 on a dress or a pair of jeans we might wear once a week, why can't we pay $100 on our hair, when we wear it daily?
ReplyDeletePS, you're a beaut and your husband is on lucky man!!!
How exciting for Chris to be home for a whole week! The hair looks great! I enjoy getting mine professionally colored too, but rarely do for several reasons (cost being the biggy). I actually haven't colored mine in a long time just because I was trying to stay away from the chemicals. I'm thinking of a henna though.
ReplyDeleteI also LOVE coconut oil. I use it for beauty and cooking/eating. Yum. I recently used some to clear up a mild case of conjunctivitis my son shared with me. It's pretty much amazing stuff :)
Enjoy your mani/pedi and have a great weekend!
Your hair looks great! Looking beautiful woman!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the coconut oil benefits list. I knew it was good for you, but didn't know it did all that. But the thought of Chris grabbing a spoonful and just eating it makes me gag a little..ha!
So pretty! Love my coconut oil! Can't imagine sauteeing in anything else now! :)
ReplyDeleteI started going gray at 16 too. I box colored until about 3 years ago. Love my glorious silver, and wish I'd stopped very early, but hey, each woman has to make that choice for themselves. Had I known then what I know now, definitely would've not gone down that dying path. Even by professionals. I mean, we talk all about chemicals, and what we slather on our heads is no different, is how I see it now.
SO GLAD Chris is home for the week! What a special time in both your lives!!!
